Easter Message to Elias Motsoaledi Residents

On behalf of Elias Motsoaledi Local Municipality council and administration, I wish all Christian residents of this municipality a blessed Easter Weekend.

During this time of the year, our diversity as a municipality is strengthened by the spiritual renewal which consumes our faith.

Over the next few days, will be Easter celebrations and Christians will not be able to mark the holidays in a manner similar to all times due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

I therefore appeal to all, to pray God to rescue this country.

I wish to urge you all to use this period of spiritual invigoration to pray for government to ensure that communities remain safe, stay at home and enforce Covid-19 regulations in light of the nationwide lockdown, as declared by His Excellency President Cyril Ramaphosa.

Let us also use this period of spiritual upliftment to pray to God to save and protect our country, not leaving behind those in the forefront of the fight against this pandemic such as doctors, nurses and security agencies.
