We help community organisation, situated in Jane Furse continue to bring change and hope to the hopeless. This community development organisation donated much needed school shoes to over 100 underprivileged children from around the township.
Spearheaded by the organisation’s secretary, Lebo Tsehla, the donation formed part of the organisation back to school campaign.
“As schools opens, we realised that the demand of school uniform and shoes are huge as we believe that many children coming from disadvantaged background are in need of assistance,” said Lebo.
Lebo confirmed that they are able to do this kind of work through donors and sometimes they receive help from good Samaritans who donate whatever they can.
“Without our donors and the support from ordinary citizens, we wouldn’t be able to continue looking after the vulnerable and the needy. All these shoes that you see here were made possible by our sponsors and it for this reason that we will forever be grateful for their gesture. We can never really single out one or the other but we would like to thank them all,” added Lebo.
This organisation has already made huge impact in alleviating poverty in the community.
