Batlokwa Shepperd Academy at Mafarafara village were the luckiest team to receive a brand new soccer jersey from a local Advocate Ernest Marule. The donation was done during the festive season.
The academy also received soccer balls, and water bottles as part of the donation.
One of the mentors at the academy Dannyboy Mosome said their academy aims to improve the low soccer standard in Tubatse. He indicated that the academy has boys from 6-15 years and they have travelled the country arranging trials for the talented boys.
“We thank Marule for ensuring we have something to wear during our soccer matches. I love soccer and I would encourage young people to play soccer so that they won’t have time for alcohol, drugs or crime. May the good God bless Marule ,” Mosome added.
Marule said that the donation was done for the love of the beautiful game and for giving back to the community.
