Patient finally gets some help
POLOKWANE
A patient who had a lump on the left side of his eyes has been operated. In August 2018, during his last visit, Daniel Lalegane waited for almost six hours to get the CT scan but when the doctor arrives he rescheduled for a biopsy without giving Daniel the outcomes of a scan.
Daniel was beginning to accept that his life will never be the same again. “After my story was published I received a call from another hospital, offering to assist me in removing the lump,” said Daniel
Daniel said he was no longer enjoying the freedom to appear in public, since he became a laughing stock.
“In the beginning, he struggled to get some medical assistance in the public health institution to a point where he almost gave up. I was operated on at the Mankweng Hospital earlier in October,” said Daniel
He said: “This is a huge success and I feel much better. I attend my weekly routine check-up at Seshego Hospital to have the wound treated” he explained.
“However, I still feeling like a social outcast,” Daniel continues.
“I learned a lot during this ordeal” especially on whom to trust and rely upon”. He said. He also mentioned that he now focuses on his eye socket to heal so he could get an artificial eye.
