calling upon the South African Police Service and the justice system to work
swiftly to remove perpetrators of gender-based violence from society, and to
offer the right care and support to victims of Gender Based Violence.”
She added, “together with the religious fraternal, we had a successful prayer event inside the Civic Centre Hall.”
The mayor expressed her gratitude towards the different church organisations for their continued support with prayers towards this good cause. She also urged local communities to assist the SAPS in combating crime in and around the country. Local churches, pastors and hundreds of community members honoured the event.
