The principal of Maphadime secondary school who allegedly accused of having affair with three girls at school over the span of a few months has confirmed it in a community meeting held on Monday.
This comes after some learners alerting their parents about the matter and threatens to shut down the school complete. Parents mobilised to confront the old man over the matter and he admitted to parents face that he and other learners are involved in a relationship saying it took place from February to date.
Sekhukhune times cannot name the accused perpetrator and the learners because are minors. Victims told their peers and parents that the principal was allegedly giving them money in the exchange of sex. They also accused him of touching their bums repeatedly
In a complaint meeting the accused principal caught saying “They are three girls, I bought the first one trouser and took her to Tsimanyane hospital because she was not feeling well, second one I paid her Saturday school fees and the third one I gave her R2000 but then she later demanded R4000 which I didn’t gave her. I therefore ask forgiveness,”
The Democratic Alliance (DA) ward councillor said the principal demoralised morals of the young girls.
“We went to the school and asked to see the principal and he confirmed the affair. The principal should leave the school and report for duty at the department of education circuit because we no longer trust him with the young girls he is teaching,” said the DA councillor.
The principal has since then asked the parents to forgive him but parents do not buy his story saying he must leave the school.
Some educators at the school said they are prepared to work in hand in hand with the victims to make sure they concentrate for the incoming exams.
The department of education in the province said they will implement their own investigation and revert.
