Feminists never believed that a sport like Netball could grab attention of many people and be career for them.
Scores of netball loves were seen watching it over the weekend when the two teams were fighting one another and the players now feel like they are being recognised for what they do.
The Ultimate defeated Bloomy 24-12 to claim the championship trophy on Saturday during the day at Manganeng tennis court. Surprise Monoge, Ultimate coach, said her team always work hard especially during competition.
Surprise said the young girls need support to reach their goals of playing and managing netball ultimately.
“I am impressed how both team performed, if you want a job done, send a woman. They need to be natured at this age because see potential in them. We hope they will continue to work hard despite having challenges of training facilities,” said Surprise.
