The Christian of South Africa (COSA) has released a statement recently calling on the MEC of health in Limpopo Dr Phophi Ramathuba to rename Jane Furse hospital by Manche Masemola.

COSA’s president Pastor Mosoana Derick said the late Manche Masemola was killed in the 1920’s in Sekhukhune. Pastor Derick accuses and allege that Masemola’s parents are the ones who killed him after he converted to the Anglican faith.

However the Limpopo department of health affirmed that they have not received a partition or correspondence from Christians of South Africa COSA, proposing the name changes of Jane furse hospital.

The department spokesperson Neil Shikwambana said the renaming of any public centre needs the consensus community members who are being served and it cannot be done by a single body.
