The Maja to Chuene and Lebowakgomo transport forum wants Kopano buses to be subsidised with R39 per kilometre just as GNT buses
On Monday about four of Kopano buses were filled to capacity at Thokgwaneng area bus stop with some commuters standing on their feet while other were forced to use other modes of transport.
Serogole Mamashela, Chairperson of forum, said GNT should stop subsiding Kopano buses with R9 per kilometre.
However the bus services company, GNT in Limpopo said talk with the department of transport and community safety are underway to resolve the shortage of buses along the R37 road between Maja and Ga Chuene villages outside Lebowakgomo.
According to GNT, they have sub contracted 10 Kopano buses on the R37 road, but given the high number of commuters more buses could be added.
