DENNILTON

The Sekhukhune District Municipality promises to do everything in their power to restore water supply at Philadelphia in Dennilton.

This follows the reports revealing that authorities at the hospital are switching off pipes pumping water to the institution’s reservoir at night to allow the reservoir to fill up and only schedule surgical procedures when water is available.

The area is experiencing an apparent drought and municipal spokesperson Willy Mosoma said the supply has reached disaster status.

Mosoma said they are providing water tankers to affected hospitals in the district.

“Our source, which is the Dr JS Moroka Municipality, has reduced bulk water supply to Sekhukhune communities by more than 50%,”He said.
