The South African Civil Organisation (SANCO) in Limpopo said it is saddened by the killing of community leader who led service delivery protest in Ga Masemola in the Makhuduthamaga municipality
Sello Makobe alleged shot and killed by unknown gunmen on the 19 May at Apel cross.
Earlier this year community members in Ga Masemola were embarked on strike blocked the R579 road with burning tyres and heavy stones demanding tarred road from Malope to Phokwane.
Afterwards various stakeholders across the province came to discuss the implementation at the scene to address
SANCO spokesperson Shylock Leshilo said they believe the death may have been influenced by his demanding the services in his area. Leshilo said the late Makobe’s persistence for service delivery robbed the Sekhukhune district region of yet another leader
