SGB members at Mpetje Primary school demand principal to be axed
MORAPANENG
The members of School Governing Body (SGB) at Mpetje Primary school are calling for the removal of the school principal, accusing the principal of taking irrational decisions without consulting them.
The school is based in Morapaneng village in the Fetakgomo Tubatse local municipality.
Among the other issues the SGB members are alleging that the principal refuses to engage with them on school matters and he does not have a good working relationship with some of the teachers.
SGB chairperson Shoki Mahlakwane said two educators resigned earlier within a year, which she believes it has negative impact at the schools performance.
She said the principal has recently appointed his own preferences members of SGB without their consent.
Spokesperson in the department of education in Limpopo Sam Makhondo said they will make their own investigations over the allegations and attend to the matters.
