WATERBERG – Police in Thabazimbi outside Bela Bela are still on a massive manhunt for a suspect involved in the rape and murder of a 59-year-old woman, Christine Robinson, the owner of a Game Lodge outside Northam.
According to police it is alleged the 29-year-old man, originally from Zimbabwe, raped, robbed and killed the elderly woman on 19 July 2014.
Police said this after the suspect, who was an employee at the farm during the brutal attack, stabbed the deceased several times at her house, raped and robbed her undisclosed amount of money before he fled the scene.
Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe, Limpopo Provincial Police Spokesperson, said the deceased was discovered by her employees lying in a pool of blood the following day at about 09:30.
Ngoepe said police were immediately summoned and started with their investigations and manhunt for the suspect with no success to date.
“It is not clear at this stage whether the suspect is still in South Africa or whether he went back to his home country, Zimbabwe. Preliminary Police investigations have revealed the suspect is also disguising, calling himself Andrea Druza and he may be hiding around the Gauteng Province or in other Provinces,” said Ngoepe.
Ngoepe said police were calling upon Andrew Ndlovu also known as Andrea Druza to approach Northem Police Station or the nearest Police Station to assist with the investigations on the matter.
