They are known for cruising in branded and luxurious bikes around Tubatse, but recently the Joyriders parked their bikes, to elect their new leadership. The new leadership is expected to be at the forefront of the club for the coming year.
Joyriders Tubatse MCC has conducted its election for the new committee, this is done to activate and reinvigorate the biking club.
The event served to elect the new executive committee (Exco) whereby the top five members were elected.
The following members were elected: (Taputa) Juda Mojalefa was elected as President of the club, (Mcdeny) is the club’s vice president and Tumzac is the new secretary.
Roberto occupies the club’s deputy secretary position while Nkutu will serve as the treasurer of the Joyriders.
In his acceptance speech, new president Taputa stated that this club is for all people who stay around Tubatse and Fetakgomo.
He highlighted that their objective is to raise funds for needy people, this include supporting local orphanages, disabled centres and people living with chronic disease.
“This year we will be focusing in making sure that the identified poor and needy people are helped with food parcels and clothes .We are open on assisting them on other struggles they are encountering in life.”
Taputa made a plea to all entrepreneurs around Tubatse to join hands with them to fight poverty. He stressed that this will assist government in combating the poverty scourge.
