On Sunday, health MEC in Limpopo Phophi Ramathuba visited Mohlaletse clinic in Apel to assess and inspect the service at the clinic.
This was part #24 hours service whereby health MEC inspects public health facilities across the province.
The health department said the activation of 24 hours health service at Mohlaletse clinic, will be efficient despite the shortage of money to appoint health care professionals.
Neil Shikwambana, the department spokesperson, said the security has been tightened, saying police and members of the community will work together to guard against criminality at the facility.
Shikwambana said some health professionals including nurses, may be taken from other hospitals, given the financial constraints the department is facing.
