A young local author aim to create a reading community


Mphanama Lag High Worship Centre was full packed when a young local multi-talented author launched her first book titled “Ngwedi o apogelwa ke maru” on Thursday of 28 March 2 during the day.

Provincial MEC for Education, Ishmael Kgetjepe, a well-known author Diphete Bopape and Professor Sekgothe Mokgoatsana were proud to witness young author launching her first book.

Author Initia Mogoswane was accompanied by her family at Mphanama Lag High Worship Centre hall, dressed in cultural style.

“This is my first book, I published it last year on March but today I launch it officially,” she explained,”

She said she grew up with a passion of becoming an author.

“My vision is very clear on my book. This book about a young lady who’s in depression stage after her loyal boyfriend denied taking full responsibility of their child,” she clarified.

Initia said promiscuous behaviour amongst youth inspired her to jot the book.

“Writing is an art and I will continue to do an art, more books to come and soon I will open my own publishing company,” she said.

She said on her spare time she assists school learners doing their school work in particular at Initia Centre organisation.

“I would like to thank everyone who supported me throughout the good and bad times in this writing industry, gratitude to my family as well,” she concluded.
