The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader, Julius Malema addressed hundreds of supporters who were gathered at Letlaba sports ground at Riba cross outside Burgersfort on 23 march 2019.
The EFF leader states out his party’s plan in government should it win the general elections.
Malema told the crowd that the platinum and chrome mines in Burgersfort should benefit the communities residing in the area.
“Mines are closing down due to corruption but the EFF led government will ensure that is dealing with it by taking full ownership of the mines. And therefore no community with a mine should be without roads, water and healthcare centres that does not operate 24 hours,” he said.
Malema added that the EFF led government will impart skill and education to benefit mining communities and put a stop to illegal mining.
He said his party will develop the Jane Furse town. We will make sure that chrome and platinum that comes from the sekhukhune mines is processed and packaged locally.
“Local farms in this area should be owned by black people and he said land will be given back to the rightful owners. We made free education possible and under our government we will give you free school uniform. No parents will pay anything for schooling,” said Malema.
He promised the pensioners to double their social grants and he accused the ANC led government by giving people t-shirts, meanwhile communities are still without clean water and houses.
“On the 08 May lets go in large numbers to vote for the EFF because is the future. We know and understand the suffering of our people. We want to take our people out of the pain of suffering,” said Malema
Mpho Makofane, the EFF supporters said hope for a better future following the delivery of the EFF 2019 provincial manifesto.
On Monday, EFF national spokesperson, Mbuyiseni Ndlozi released a statement on twitter to express party’s gratitude to the people of Limpopo over a successful rally.
“We thank you for the love, support and confidence you have shown in the EFF rally,” he said.
