Academic activities to resume in Turfloop

Agreement has been reached at the University of Limpopo (UL) between the management and the Students representatives council (SRC), therefore academic activities were set to resume on Wednesday.
This comes after a meeting between the SRC and the management on Tuesday morning to respond to the student’s demand that was submitted last week.
The protesting students were demanding the extended operating hours at the health and library facilities as well as a bar.
Thabiso Molepo, SRC secretary general, said most of their demands received a positive response; however he said they would only be fully satisfied when their needy are implemented.
Meanwhile the university administrator, Kwena Masha said over eleven of their demands were responded to and he said management is committed to work with the students on funding amicable solution to address the issues.
“Management is also committed to build a modernised centre which will among include several services such as foot court, SRC offices, a gym and a bar,” Masha mentioned.
