Moganyaka woman goes missing after call from unknown female
MOGANYAKA – The South African Police in Marble Hall are investigating a missing person report following the disappearance of a 55 year-old woman from Moganyaka village outside Marble Hall.
Police said according to information at their disposal the 55 year-old Rebecca Maleswena, a worker at one of the surgeries in Marble Hall town, allegedly received a call from an unknown woman on the 28th February 2019 who asked for the victim to come pray for her.
Sergeant Lethunya Mmuroa, Marble Hall police spokesperson, said the victim and the unknown woman agreed to meet at a KFC outlet within the Marble Hall Taxi rank precinct.
Mmuroa said the Rebecca allegedly boarded a taxi from Moganyaka village to Marble Hall to honour the meeting with the unknown woman and was never seen again.
“Efforts to locate her at relatives and friends were not successful to date,” said Mmuroa.
