Churches embark on march to highlight their role

TAFELKOP – To highlight churches’ role among communities of their existence, Great North Pentecostal Holiness Church of South Africa’s 12 churches in association with Tafelkop local houses of worship held a two day conference at Nyakelang section over the weekend.

Reverent Ramokone Khwinana, Sterkfontein God’s Abandoned Grace Chairperson, objectified the conference, which started through a peaceful march from Dihlabakelo to Joy as a reminder to churches of their role needed to be played among respective communities, especially in rural areas where certain professional services are not available.

“The conference mainly seeks to address daily challenges members of respective communities face, and also find ways on how churches can play a role in finding solutions to the challenges,” said Rev Khwinana.

Kgoshi Rammupudu Boleu II, whose presence as well as that of Dr Convy Baloi, African Covenant President told the congregants that pastors and churches always played a role in uniting the community, and said he believed even today places of worship still had a pivotal role in the development of communities and moral regeneration programmes.
