Residents blame the municipality for damaged pipe

GaMampuru residents point fingers at their district municipality for delaying on to fix the burst pipe that supplies water to their area.
This follows after a local resident accidentally damaged the pipe and the municipality allegedly refused to repair it.
For that reason, GaMampuru community suffered and experienced lack of water from November 2018 to date.
Willie Mosoma, municipal spokesperson, said a team of technicians is fixing a burst pipe that supplies water to GaMampuru and surrounding areas.
He said the residents never inquired with the municipality and they only found out about the damage recently.
He added that they apologise to the community for the inconvenience caused and are asking the affected communities to be patient as they fix the pipe.
