On Friday hundreds of parents were gathered at Flora Park high school in Polokwane seeking admission of their children from various schools on 2019 academic programmes.
For parents to gather, the aim was to seek clarity from the authorities on admission matter, they said officials were unable to answer them.
They expressed their frustration over the department system that uses by authorities in Limpopo to process the enrolment of learners.
Parents were not impressed on how some other pupil accepted.
“Some pupil are cheating the system because many of us applied in April 2018 but our application were not yet been accepted whilst other applied this year but luckily they managed to secured space for their children,” said parents.
They said they applied last year hoping to secure space but their children have not yet been accepted by any of the public schools in the area and they added that Some of the grade R and 1 learners have now entered a third week without securing space at primary schools in Polokwane.
The spokesperson of education department in Limpopo, Sam Makhondo said the department is working around the clock to ensure that learners who struggle to get school admission are placed in a schools within the next two weeks.
