Provincial Ministry of agriculture honoured three officers for bringing the trophies in the province.
POLOKWANE
On Tuesday the MEC for Agriculture and rural development, Basikopo Makamu has congratulated the three extension officers who won the second national extension and advisory ceremony awards.
The three provincial winners received the trophies, the certificate and R50 000 cash each.
The best agricultural advisor was awarded to Rendani Murovhi, Rose Tsamai was awarded as the best mentor for 2018 national female commercial farmer of the year and Reuben Maakamedi was awarded best agricultural extension supervisory service.
MEC applauded the winner for adding to the department reservoir of excellence and flying the provincial flag high.
He said the department has been receiving award thick and fast in recognition of their excellent work.
Makamu said the call of duty is what all government officials are called upon to do on a daily basis.
He said the department is proud of the winners and he thanked them for bringing the trophies in the province.
Jacqueline Maesela, Head of Department, congratulated the winners and thanked the officers for being passionate about their job and walking an extra mile regardless of the obstacles.
One of the winners, Maakamedi said they would share the skill with other to help the farmers to improve on their agriculture production.
