Memorandums were handed over at Makhuduthamaga municipality to the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) and to the Mayor by the Red berets on Friday.
Twenty four year in democracy, the party believes service delivery in Sekhukhune goes worse than ever. Regional chairperson, Moleke Senong was leading the march from Jane Furse taxi rank along R579 road to the municipality. Scores of police were monitoring the situation.
Senong said it was very important for them to march because he believes only ANC card carrying members are benefiting. He said the community is abandoned and corruption is being natured and glorified under the administration of the ANC.
“We delivered two memorandums to the IEC and the mayor. In our IEC memorandum we implore members of South African Democratic Teachers Union (SADTU) to distance themselves from being part of the IEC because we know they have closer relationship with the ANC. Then the other memo we are requesting mayor to deliver services to the community,” he said.
One of the community leaders who spoke prior mayor signed the memorandum said the ANC administrative only hire their comrades. He accused the municipality of misusing finances, as he said they bought building which worthes over seven million.
“I am not afraid of anyone, in 2016 there was a team that was meant to kill me, they failed and told them that I am not their type. This spokesperson here was hired unlawful and the post of event manager was never been advertised in any platform,” he said.
Community leader said Indian entrepreneurs have access to trade license in exchange of money. He further said many project were abandoned because the victims denied to have sex with the project managers.
IEC representatives and Mayor accepted the memorandums and promised to respond within fourteen working day.
