Makhuduthamaga hosts councillors’ workshop

The department of COGHSTA and treasury were part of two days’ councillors’ workshop which was hosted by Makhuduthamaga local municipality in Jane Furse.
The workshop was aimed to train and build capacity of the ANC councillors before heading to general election.
Municipal policies were relooked and drawn on board to alert councillors on how to adapt and utilised them.
Finance policies which seem to be a huge problem to many municipalities were also part of the agenda.
“As it will go a long way in empowering our councillors and further strengthen the municipal and benefit our people,” sentiment shared by Mayor Minah Bahula in session.
She said councillors have to work for the community to maintain people’s hope around Makhuduthamaga.
“We will continue to fight against unemployment, inequality and poverty to develop our villages. The visionary leadership would assist to leadership visionary improve our areas,” she said.
