Young model pleads for votes in winning crown

Windy Vilakazi is a finalist in the Miss Mini Teen South Africa.
The 14-year-old, who boasts many accolades, is the current Miss Fetakgomo Tubatse Local Municipality’s teen.
Windy has been passionate about modelling since her days at primary school. To polish her modelling skills, she joined the BP Tubatse Modelling Academy.
Speaking  Sekhukhune Times the grade 9 pupil at St Thomas’ College said she is determined to win the crown.
“I wish to put Tubatse higher on the map, and I believe with support from the locals we can bring the crown home.”
Windy said her dream is to one day contest for the Miss South Africa crown. “After winning the FTLM teen, I realised anything is possible in this world. I am now dreaming big and craving for more crowns.”
She said the Miss Mini Teen South Africa will be a step in the right direction. “I am not only vying for the Miss Mini Teen crown but there is also the Miss Public Choice pageant, where one has to accumulate more votes.”

The crowning will be on October 13 in Kempton Park and voting is currently underway.
