Newly elected premier candidate visit and donate to local school
MASODI
On transport month, Masodi village school received a much needed donation and visit from the Democratic Alliance (DA) newly premier candidate, Jacques Smalle on 02 October 2018. The organisation gave away road safety equipment which includes school control uniform, reflector jackets and stop signs to help improve road safety in the area.
Smalle said rural areas should not be excluded in road safety awareness campaigns. He said the road safety equipment would advance road safety of the learners in the area.
“In the past few years seven learners from Masodi village have lost their lives while crossing dangerous roads on their way to school,” he said.
He was nominated as the DA candidate for premier of Limpopo on 15 September in the 2019 elections by the party leader Mmusi Maimane. Maimane described him as committed person who would provide young school leavers and places in investing in the future of young South Africans.
The school’s learners were over the moon with joy due to all gifts they received
