TAFELKOP – Bakgaga ba Kopa heritage celebration on its fifth year proved to be the Sekhukhune’s premier arts and culture festival when the who’s who of Limpopo province gathered at Bakgaga ba Kopa royal house to witness the greatest display of African culture and art performances.
For the past five years Mphela & Associates under the leadership of Maditsi Mphela and Tshepo Matlala took it upon themselves to create a platform for the community of Tafelkop to celebrate their origin, identity and culture.
Since its inception, the event has always matched everyone’s expectations. Food and drinks was available to everyone.
The event was attended by Kgoshi Dikgale, Chairperson of House of Traditional Leaders in Limpopo, Dr Tsiane, Chairperson of Traditional Healers of SA and Mmekwa Mmekwa from Sekhukhune District Municipality office among other dignitaries.
Ngaka Makua, Phuthi Ya Bokone, Primary schools from Tafelkop and Regae primary school in Tsantsabela, Dikwena Tsa Matsepe and Selahle Sa Kopa entertained revellers on the day.
Mphela said the event was a way of ploughing back in our communities that have been on their side for years.

Kgoshi Boleu II thanked Mphela & Associates for being them for the past five years as main sponsors of the heritage celebrations events.
Boleu further thanked all partners for the celebrations and for creating a platform to showcase arts and culture performances as well as preservation cultural heritage.
