MANAPYANE – Traffic on Manapyane road outside Marble Hall was adversely affected on Monday after three loaded heavy trucks were involved in accident near Ngwanakwena Secondary School.
The road was cordoned off for hours when attempts were made to remove stones that were scattered on the road from the trucks containers and one of the trailers that barricaded the road after one of the trucks capsized.
The paper reliably learned there were no fatalities and the drivers were treated on the spot before they were transported to hospital for further medical attention.
Eyewitnesses told the paper the accident occurred when the three trucks approached a speed hump near the school.
“We must thank God that the accident happened when learners were still in classes because when they are not, some are seen on the side of the road on daily basis. Imagine the tragedy there could have been,” said an eyewitness.
