Productivity South Africa (PSA) held regional award ceremony at Bolivia lodge in Polokwane on 11 September 2018. The Chief Executive officer (CEO) of PSA awarded the four winning company with certificate of recognition and trophies.
Limpopo MEC for department of Economic, Environment and Tourism, Seaparo Sekoati delivered a message to business owners at the award ceremony.
CEO Mothunye Mothiba said the event’s aim was to empower and emerge entrepreneurs to become more productive and competitive in order to better the state of their economies. He further encouraged entrepreneurs to allow collaboration in their business. “Workers should also be given opportunities by their employers to be creative in their workplace. We do our best for entrepreneurs to get quality of their purpose,” he said.
MEC Sekoati reminded all business owners who were gathered at Bolivia lodge that the province is sitting on a bomb of high unemployment rate. He encouraged entrepreneurs to get involve in programmes available through PSA and government.
“We congratulate entrepreneurs who got the awards and we hope that they would continue to make our province a sustainable competitive player in the global market. Government introduced the black industrialist programme to promote the growth and competitiveness of black owned enterprises in the manufacturing sector,” he said.
Sekoati urged award winners to stay focused and he implored the work hard in ensuring that their business grow. He further said entrepreneurs should constantly bear in mind that competition in business never ends.
“Although winners were not awarded with money, the public recognition is very crucial as it inspires other business owners to work hard to improve their productivity and business capabilities,” he concluded.
