Help police identify suspects in various businesses robberies
DENNILTON/GROBLERSDAL – Limpopo Saps are urgently appealing to members of the public to help with information which can lead to the arrest of 22 highly wanted suspects in a spate of various business robberies around the province.
Police said they needed assistance in the identification of people in CCTV footage from various businesses in the province.
Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe, Limpopo Provincial Police Spokesperson, said they needed the people in the CCTV footage to assist them with investigations to bring the criminals to book.
Ngoepe said the armed robbers had robbed businesses in Dennilton, Groblersdal, Giyani, Northam and Morone.
“They have stolen an undisclosed amount of cash, cellphones and tablets worth over R1.5 million as well as airtime vouchers,” informed Ngoepe.
Ngoepe said businesses were usually targeted by two or four armed robbers who then ordered employees at gunpoint to open safes or force open cabinets where the stolen items were kept.
“In one of the robberies in Groblersdal, the suspects fled the scene in a vehicle with the registration number CTF 537 MP,” added Ngoepe.
Anyone with information that can lead to the apprehension of the suspects are requested to call Captain Richard Boshomae at 079 894 5501, the crime stop number 08600 10111 or the crime line sms 32211. Alternatively they can go to the nearest police station.
