New vehicle fleet for service delivery acceleration in Elias Motsoaledi Local Municipality

GROBLERSDAL – In the enhancement of service delivery for the benefit of communities in all wards, Elias Motsoaledi Local Municipality (EMLM) has acquired new vehicle fleet.

The new vehicle fleet comprises four Tipper trucks, three Graders, two TLBs and seven bakkies that will be used to accelerate service delivery within the jurisdiction of the local municipality.

Julia Mathebe, EMLM Mayor, said the vehicle fleet was purchased to continue providing effective and efficient services unabated.

Mathebe advised: “Whatever purposes these vehicles are meant for, it is for that very purpose that they must be used.”

The Mayor assured the vehicles would not be used by officials for private use, and to take whatever measure in ensuring that officials abided by the policies pertaining to the usage of the latter.

“As we take control of the fleet, we give you the undertaking that these vehicles will be put to good use and for the purposes of providing effective and efficient services,” assured Mathebe.

The Mayor further said as local government, government close to people, they continued to carry their mandate to enhance service delivery in all wards of their operations for the benefit of the community of the local municipality.

“I am a passionate believer that as a municipality or any government sector, all assets that we have is given to us in trust. This vehicle fleet is no different,” concluded Mathebe.
