Executive mayor of Polokwane, Thembi Nkadimeng met with service provides and key officials due to delays of the services to Polokwane community on 17 August 2018. These embrace projects of services such as water provision, customer care and revenue improvement in the community.
She said water project in rural areas ought to be faster and no excuses for delays would be tolerated.
“Let us be advanced for our communities with the services we are rendering at all times. We cannot allow the problems to be complex and only deal with them sporadically,” she said.
Polokwane mayor urged service providers to respect the community and also be serious about their work. She further said challenges faced by communities must be tackled quickly.
“The municipality will not tolerate shoddy and untidy work. We will not hesitate to terminate contracts if the complaints continue to flood in the community,” she concluded.
