Leolo Technical School learners were on cloud nine when they received school uniforms, sanitary towels and toilet rolls.
The gifts were donated last Friday as part of the Nelson Mandela centenary celebrations at the school.
The event was attended by the pupils, parents, educators, SGB members and Mr Selepe Malope who was deployed by the Fetakgomo Tubatse Local Municipality.
Malope, who was a keynote speaker, urged the learners to study hard to become better people.
Twenty needy pupils were given a full set of school uniform, sanitary pads and toilet rolls.
Speaking to the Sekhukhune Times, member of the fundraising committee Mr Osilias Ndala Mosoma said they aim at improving Leolo into one of the best technical colleges in Limpopo.
“This is an ongoing programme as the committee intends to approach the business community to assist in building workshops, laboratories and studios following the declaration of the school as a technical school.”
The learners applauded the committee for ensuring they come to school in proper uniforms,
