SAPS Rugby club tournament underway in Limpopo


The Saps Provincial Commissioner Lt. General Nneke Ledwaba welcomed the participants in SAPS rugby Club

Ledwaba assured them peace and tranquillity in the Province throughout their stay. “It is an honour and privilege for me to give a warm welcome to our guests, visitors, players and members of the SAPS RUGBY CLUBS on the 2018 Rugby Championship Tournament in Limpopo Province.

“We are honoured to be part of this historic and remarkable moment in the SAPS history. I hope you all embrace this experience and remember that if no one loses, no one will win either! May the spirit of a fair game prevail! I therefore urge you all to relish every opportunity while in the province”, concluded General Ledwaba.

Lt. General Mothiba’s presentation highlighted the production and importance of a healthy body contributes positively in crime fighting as police officers.

He further indicated that SAPS Rugby association received an invitation to participate in the Police International World Cup during September 2019 taking place in Hong Kong.

Mothiba was overwhelmed by the female participation in rugby sport as it was previously known as dominant male sporting code.

He pleaded with the winners and losers to share the same spirit as rugby will be the winner at end of tourney and he declared the tournament officially opened and concluded by saying ” let the best Team win”.
