A 45 year-old man was found hanging

MOHLALAOTOANE – A 45 year-old man was found hanging at the back of his uncle’s house in Mohlalaotwane village following an altercation with his wife.

According to police, the man had an altercation with his wife over infidelity about two weeks ago after which the wife left.

Police said according to the wife, she took her belongings and left with their two children to her parent’s home after the alleged altercation.

Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe, Limpopo Provincial Police Spokesperson, said the same day in the afternoon around 15:53, the wife received a WhatsApp message from the deceased, stating it was the last time she heard from him.

“The police search operation ensued and the man was later found hanging at the back of his uncle’s house,” explained Ngoepe.

Ngoepe added the motive behind the incident was not known at that stage and was still under investigations.

He further said domestic dispute may not be ruled out. The deceased was identified as Stephen Makola.

Police advise parents and community members when having conflict at home to engage pastors or social workers to reach amicable solutions to their problems.
