TOISKRAAL – Limpopo SAPS in Marble Hall and Giyani have launched a massive manhunt for suspects involved in two separate incidents of carjacking, murder, attempted murder and robbery which occurred over the past two weeks.
In Marble Hall, police are on a manhunt for suspects following the killing of a middle aged man and three others who sustained gunshot wounds during a suspected robbery incident in Toiskraal farm outside Marble Hall.
Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe, Limpopo Provincial Police Spokesperson, said it was alleged that members of the community discovered four people lying down with multiple gunshot wounds and one of them already dead.
Ngoepe said the community members notified the police who responded immediately and that they motive behind the incident was still unknown, no arrests were made.
“The suspects are unknown at this stage and no arrests were made,” added Ngoepe.
Meanwhile, in Giyani policing area at Mashavele village, an educator attached to Mbabgezika High School in Shikukwani village was found dead in bushes and the school examination papers lying next to his body.
Ngoepe said police preliminary investigations at the crime scene found an empty cartridge adjacent to the body but his motor vehicle was missing.
He said the motive behind the incident was still not clear at that stage but carjacking could not be ruled out.
“The suspect(s) in the matter are unknown and there is no arrest,” concluded Ngoepe.
