Baroka’s coach quits, eight players also shown the door

Baroka FC has released eight of their players this week. Among those who were shown the door is well travelled defender and also former Kaizer Chiefs and Sundowns player Punch Masenamela. According to sources at the club there could be more players shown the door at the troubled PSL side.
The players leaving the team are Masenamela, Rhulani Sidumo, Sipho Moeti, Robin Ngalande, Lucky Nguzana, Mamphise Moremi, Vigil Vries and Tshinuna Avhashoni. The players were told during a meeting on May 15 that they are no longer needed and were handed their clearance. “Lewis Macha and Mzwanele Mahashe are probably going to leave as well. So the decision on them is pending,” reveals our source at the club.
Baroka not only sacked their players. Their coach Mcdonald Makhubedu and goalkeeper coach Greg Etafia also resigned in their respective posts.

There are also rumours that other members from the technical team might also quit the club. Baroka were lucky to escape relegation as they finished 14th on the log.
