“In the organisation organisation I am serving (Contralesa) we define ourselves as the key to rural development. That rural development should not only be seen in the light of better roads, water and sanitation and so forth, it is about developing people. I chose to be with you because the future is you” Kgoshi Phaahla said
He added that his office view TUPS Royal Cup as the most pragmatic, accessible and sustainable investment in young people and communities under the aegis of traditional leadership.

I urge you to maintain discipline and passion for sport because except of its lifestyle qualities, sport is also a source of livelihood. I am seeing future champions of this new sport being sharpened today. As Contralesa Limpopo we will encourage fellow traditional leaders to support similar initiatives in their communities under their esteemed royal thrones. Hosting this Royal Cup here today feels like validation of the kingdom of my father, grandfather and great men before them” concluded Kgoshi Phaahla.
