Businessman organises a soccer tournament for local villagers
SEHLAKU – In giving back to his community, local entrepreneur Lucky Kgoetiane who owns LuvyMailane Transport and Construction organised soccer tournaments in his home village of Sehlaku. The two tourneys were a Top 16 for the males as well as a Top 4 for the ladies. The games were organised
during the festive period.
Lucky contributed R15000 for the sporting events. He and Bonto Makofane also bought soccer kits to four of the teams that participated in the sports. In the final match, Taleng FC defeated Black Moves 8-7. Taleng walked away with R5000 cash and a trophy . Black Moves took R3000 cash. The third positioned team All for one won R1500 while Mahubane United received R500 for being fourth place.
The final of the girls saw Sehlaku Naughty Girls taking home R1000 cash with a cup and medals. Second place Home Stars FC walked home with R500.
Lucky Kgoetiane told Sekhukhune Times that they appreciate the support offered by the communities. “It was for the first time we hosted the tourney in Sehlaku but the support was extraordinary.We congratulate the winners and to those who didn’t win try next year and we will come big and better.”
